Propose Ideas With Your New Boss
If you have just been hired into a new position, it is important to get off on the right foot. One of the best ways to do this is by proposing ideas that are outside of your boss’s normal workday. This will show them that you are creative and not afraid to think outside of the box. The pitch deck experts will discuss how to propose ideas in order for your boss see what they can expect from their new employee!
The first thing you need to do is think about what your new boss likes and dislikes. Do they like to work with numbers, or would a proposal that includes statistics be better? Maybe you could come up with an idea for something innovative!
If you are unsure of how well the two of you will work together, start small. Pitch them one idea and see if it works out before proposing another one. This way, if things go wrong then there has not been much time wasted on trying to make both ideas succeed at once. If this first pitch goes well though, try pitching more than just one next time around!
You can also attempt asking your co-workers for their opinions on what might interest your new leader most. If everyone else comes up with the same idea as you, it will be that much more convincing when you present it to your boss.
The most important thing is to stay confident and act like you know what you are talking about. Even if this is your first day on the job, fake it until you make it! The more research and preparation that you do before proposing an idea, the better off you will be in the long run.
If everything goes according to plan, then congratulations! You have started off on a great foot with your new boss and can continue moving up in the company. Just remember to keep those innovative ideas coming!
